Start with a coordinated schedule
A useful quote begins with more than a window count.
Send the current plans and opening schedule. Identify the project address, bid deadline and target dry-in date. Flag alternates and selections still awaiting owner approval.
The package review should resolve:
- Opening IDs, quantities and dimensions.
- Operating styles, handing and swing.
- Frame depth, finishes, grids and hardware.
- Glass selections and safety-glazing locations.
- Required positive and negative design pressures.
- Mullion conditions and attachment documentation.
- Installation scope, delivery access and unloading responsibility.
Tie the specification to the project requirements
DP ratings, U-factor and SHGC belong in the submittal conversation—not in a last-minute substitution request.
